MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone, wow what a year this has been, and next year is shaping up to be even better.
Wow, so much to share. I’m not as good as I should be at keeping up my website. I’ll try to keep it short.
I have had many wonderful opportunities to work with Jim Holden of Fish for Life again this past year and look forward to continuing as we grow our brands to be able to do bigger and better things for special needs children and their families.
I have even been lucky to make the paper a few times, and even a quick spot on the KTLA morning news earlier this year. Most recently I was in the San Clemente Journal. If you haven’t read the article, and would like to here is the link to the article… I want to give a big thank you to Rebecca Parsons for the lovely article she wrote.
As mentioned in the article I have been making jewelry to help me raise money to build the Elseanna Meramid brand into a company designed to ease special needs children and their families into the community and spreading social awareness to the challenges theses wonderful children and their families face daily.
I have been blessed to meet and get to know many people as well as strengthen many existing relationships. Among those, a few of note are Scott Shipley, Franco Lipparini and Donatella Polizzi.
I had the opportunity to meet Scott Shipley who owns and operates the Pier Grill & Tackle on the San Clemente Pier, while working with the Dana Hills High School summer school STEPS program. As we struck up a conversation and friendship Scott graciously agreed to host and sell some of my wire wrapped sea glass necklaces, etc… that I have made; along with his collection of wares from other local artists. My almost weekly visits to the pier with my son are made so much more incredible, and delicious by Scotts Good cooking and warm hearted personality.
I have also been blessed to get to know Franco and Donatella. I went out one day with a good friends to see if I could encourage any local jewelry stores to display some of my jewelry. Of the many stores we visited, Franco and Donatella were the ones to reach out to me and express an interest in supporting an up and coming artist with a mission. They are a really delightful and fun Italian couple who own and operate the high end jewelry store Van Lipp & Carter, on Ave Del Mar in San Clemente. I am honored to have a few of my fine jewelry creations gracing the shelves of this fine store. I can, and have sat and talked for hours with this open and loving family who share a passion for fine and unique jewelry, art, travel, and good food.
I am also excited to continue working with the Dana Point Harbor Association. I will post information on the up coming Holiday events on my Events page.
I am thankful for the support and friendship I have been given this year.
